Wayne Coyne

Wayne Coyne, was born in Pittsburgh hospital January 13, 1961. He grew up in Oklahoma City and is the fifth of six children. Having little interest in school, Wayne Coyne preferred listening to music and playing pickup football. He and his brothers called "The Fearless Freaks" about their brutal yard football games. Tommy Coyne, Wayne's older brother, described in games such as "semi-civilized gang fight."


Wayne Coyne earned money in high school as a fry cook Long John Silver's. During his second year of operation, there was a rash of robberies in Oklahoma City. During its work, the restaurant was robbed. Wang and other officials have been held gunpoint and forced to lie on the ground. Wayne Coyne was certain he would die. Although the assistant manager could not open the safe, the robbers managed to escape. Wang believes that "this is really how to die ... just one minutes cooking arrest of some French fries and the next minute you're on the floor and they blow your brains out. There is no music, no matter, it's just random.

Fifteen years, Wayne Coyne, bought his first guitar.


Wayne Coyne formed the Flaming Lipsin in 1983 with his brother Mark singing lead and Michael Ivins on bass guitar. Mark later left the group, and Wayne Coyne taking vocal duties. Wayne Coyne critics described as punk rocker on acid. Wang admits that he often experimented with LSD: "When we were young, I think we made many drugs. So we like to make weird music." Later in the same film, which makes this statement says that Wayne Coyne has some advantages to taking risks [Psychedelics, mostly marijuana], and although they do not take drugs now, he took such risks when he was young and benefited from them. Also worth noting that Wayne Coyne, in a recent interview, said he would still take "LSD and things like that if they do not last as long"

During a large crowd of festival performances, Wayne Coyne makes his entrance from the alien ships descending from a parent (he nodded to the European Parliament Funkadelic ) in the balloon, and floating in the audience. Wayne Coyne is also known to pour fake blood on his face hidden by a pipe during live shows. Wayne Coyne made to pay homage to the famous picture of Miles Davis after a performance which is the lifeblood of his work, because a policeman beaten him during the show.

Flaming Lips concerts also feature confetti cannons, lasers, expected images on a screen, dozens of big balloons, and a stage filled with dancers dressed as Teletubbies. Before performing, Wayne Coyne can be seen on the scene helping the crew. Their performances have been likened to Psychedelic Experience, rather than something as benign as music shows, a tradition dating from the formation of the group.
